Summer Camp
Ages 4 through 12 years
ELIGIBILITY
Summer Camp is for children who are ages 4 through 12 years old. Summer Camp is available during the months of June, July, and August.

Summer Camp is the same as our normal daily program, but we include a camp theme and lots of field trips to keep the kiddos engaged and active during the summer months.
Typically, students enrolled in our school-year program automatically continue into the summer session. However, some families—especially those of teachers or those who don’t require summer care—may choose to opt out. When current students opt-out of our summer program, it allows available spots for new summer enrollments.

SCHEDULE
Summer Camp students may attend between the hours of 5:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. (up to 5 days, Monday through Friday). Families have the flexibility to utilize the spot however they need to. Families are asked to complete a schedule template on Fridays for the following week, indicating which days and times their child will attend. For instance, Monday could be 8-2, Tuesday 7-1, Wed off, etc.
TUITION
Summer camp tuition does not change based on attendance. Families simply pay a set, weekly rate for their child’s spot. Since tuition is not based on attendance, families are still required to pay tuition in full when their child does not attend and when Rising Sun is closed.
Tuition cost is $290 weekly for children age 4 and $280 weekly for children ages 5 and up. Rising Sun does not offer a part time care option for summer camp. Students may attend part time, but the tuition rate does not change.

CONTRACT OPTIONS
Summer Camp contracts run from June through August. Additional contract options are available for families who need care year-round.

FREE DAYS
Students who attend year round may receive 10 free days per child, per contract year. Each free day is worth the current weekly tuition, divided by 5 days (M-F), to get the “daily rate”. One “daily rate” will be deducted per free day requested. Free days do NOT roll over after September 1st. If state subsidy is received, free days are determined by your copay. Free days must be requested and approved, in advance, before being placed on tuition ledgers. Students who enroll only for summer camp, and students who do not attend September through August, are not eligible for free days. Students who enroll after March 1st for annual care, will be eligible for 5 free days until the next contract renewal. All benefits are lost upon a verbal or written contract termination.

MONTHLY DISCOUNT
A 5% monthly discount may be applied only when the month’s tuition is paid in full within the 1st week of the month, and when the tuition is paid via money order or checking/savings account. Monthly discounts may not be adjusted for overages. Discounts do not apply to registration fees, late fees, and supply fees. Tuition discounts are not offered during the summer months of June, July, and August. This is due to the increased costs associated with field trips, transportation, and various activity fees.

MEALS
Snacks and meals will be served to all children and employees in attendance during meal times. Children who attend within 30 minutes after meal-times will be offered the meal/snack. Meals and snacks are included in tuition cost.
