Rising Sun is proud to participate in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP), a federal initiative designed to ensure that children receive nutritious, balanced meals. As part of our commitment to early childhood education, we prioritize providing meals that support the health, development, and well-being of our students. We focus on using fresh and frozen ingredients, while minimizing the use of canned and processed foods, in order to offer the highest quality nutrition.
Our menu is thoughtfully designed with seasonal rotations: In the fall and winter, we serve wholesome, homemade soups and other comforting meals, while in the spring and summer, we incorporate fresh wraps and seasonal fruits. This seasonal approach not only provides variety but also supports the importance of offering children a diverse range of nutrient-rich foods as part of their daily learning experience.
